Is EGS52 Mercedes transmission control modules vin coded?

The answer is NO! Mercedes never vin coded any EGS51/EGS52/EGS53 TCU to any of there cars even though there is a option on many scan tools to do that.  They are SCN coded to car for correct gear ratio, torque variant values, different options and much more. Vin # only plays role in 7G transmissions with built in TCU for security system.
